Incredible finish at the Masters. Extra holes are always a good thing when they are that riveting. Baseball is underway, finally, officially and all the games are here in the US. The best story line so far, The Yankees and Red Sox have both started 0-3. Nice. Remember the Eighth Wonder of the World? The Houston Chronicle went for a visit inside the Astrodome and took along a camera.

Some very cool shots of the aging relic. Read more...

The Masters
As the big names were flustered and they floundered Sunday in Augusta, Bubba Watson and Louis Oosthuizen kept their cool and played a few extra holes just for good measure. Up until the playoff Oosthuizen had the shot of the day with a double-eagle on hole number 2.

Bubba saved his best for last as he hit an impossible gap wedge hook shot from the pine needles for a incredible tournament winning par on hole No. 10.

It's always amazing to me watching the final few holes of the Masters, let alone a playoff, where a guy is going to make his whole career. A win at Augusta is everything. The emotion clearly showed as Bubba hugged his mom on the green. His wife wasn't there - they adopted a baby two weeks ago. Think Fathers Day will be any good this year at the Watson house?

As for the local boy, Zach Johnson played even on Sunday and finished tied for 32nd. How was Tiger's weekend? well this pretty much sums it up.

Don't forget to check out all the photos and videos from Marty and the gang last week in Augusta. Thanks again to Grinnell Mutual and Toyota of Des Moines.

MLB
Ok, we are only three games into the season and the Cubs aren't going to do anything this year, but Kerry Wood needs to be moved to the front office instead of the dugout. He's a Cub. For life. But for the good of the team he needs to not put on a uni anymore. The Cubs should have started the season 3-0 and instead sit at 1-2. Surprisingly, the starting pitching has been outstanding and the offense has been - good enough. The backend of the bullpen? a disaster.

Think Bobby Valentine is enjoying the return to the dugout? Another wild one in Detroit as the Tigers fought back to win in walk off fashion. In Tampa, Jeremy Hellickson went 8 2/3 giving up only 3 hits as the Rays swept the Yankees. I know, only three games in but the Yanks and Red Sox both sit in the cellar. First time both are 0-3 since 1966. Snicker, snicker, snicker.

TV
Buzzfeed put up some of the best sports commercials of all time. Hadn't seen a lot of these for a while. Some good stuff in there. Like Mars Blackmon. Spike Lee is funny on film, not so much in real life.

And finally...

Ever wonder how the Astrodome is holding up? I don't either, but the Houston Chronicle took a tour of the Eighth Wonder of the World and took a ton of photos. See all the photos here.
